Description

This is for a Greenleaf Publishing v1#2 © November 1954, Imaginative Tales #2, Pulp Novel.  Has a couple of "Toffee" stories by Charles Myers better known by his pen name Henry Farrell.  This copy wouldn't be too bad except it's "bug bit" along the spine, (g 26).  Thanks for looking.  0010-1305-26

Better known for his pen name of Henry Farrell, author of the novel "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" and the screenplay "Hush ... Hush, Sweet Charlotte" as well as many other novels and screenplays, Myers first wrote fantasy stories under his real name. Ten of the first twelve stories dealt with the character of Toffee, the Dream Girl of Marc Pillsworth's imagination.
Apparently paying homage to Thorne Smith and "Topper", Charles F. Myers wrote a series of stories starring Toffee, a dream girl in the strictest sense of the word: she resided in Marc Pillsworth's mind. She also existed in the real world whenever she could escape Marc's subconscious. The Toffee stories are pure fantasy, are fun to read, and are a bit mischievous and spicy.

Toffee Takes a Trip
Marc Pillsworth decided he needed a vacation--so he went on a trip. But where Marc went, Toffee followed--with trouble.

Toffee Haunts A Ghost
Having Toffee the "dream-girl" around was bad enough for Marc, but a ghost named George was just too much.
